Green Energy and Development helps our customers to develop a plan with local waste haulers and contractors to deliver mixed municipal solid wastes to a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF).

A MRF is a facility that receives and separates all types of solid waste. This allows materials such as paper, cardboard, plastics and glass to be recycled.  While food waste, green waste and non-recyclable paper will be removed and composted.

This allows for a “Zero Waste” program where up to 95% of all waste is recycled.
